Training as a material tester in the field of metal technology (m/f/d)
That’s what you’ll learn with us:
- Basic metalworking skills e.g. filing, sawing, drilling, turning, milling, etc.
- Determine material properties such as hardness, strength and formability
- Examination of materials and quality inspection of products
- Inspect steel products for internal and external defects
- Applying destructive and non-destructive material testing methods, such as carrying out hardness tests, bending tests, tensile tests, notch impact tests and others
- Preparation of micrograph samples with subsequent evaluation under the microscope
- Reading, applying and creating technical documents, standards and documentation of work results
Ideally, you bring this with you:
- Observational accuracy, diligence and a sense of responsibility
- Independent and precise way of working
- High willingness to learn and ability to work in a team
- Craftsmanship and technical understanding
- Good basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry
- Required school leaving certificate: Secondary school leaving certificate / intermediate school leaving certificate
Start of training: August 2026
Duration of training: 3.5 years; shortening possible
Working hours: 37.5 hours / week, 30 vacation days
